8th CTI Young Drive Experts Award
The CTI Young Drive Award honours outstanding Bachelor, Master works by recent graduates and PhD theses in the field of transmission and drive development. The aim is to encourage young engineers to continue their efforts in this sector.
Students have until 15 November 2016 to submit their BSc, MSc papers and PhD theses for the 8th Young Drive Experts Award 2016. The award ceremony will take place at the CTI symposium in Berlin on 7th December 2016. The award recognises young engineers whose papers focus on solutions and concepts that address any aspect of transmission, drive and component development / optimization in the automotive sector.
A high-profile jury
The rewarding of young scientists is carried out by a jury of renowned industry experts, in-cluding: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ferit Küçükay (Technical University of Braunschweig), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Tenberge (Ruhr-Universität Bochum), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan Rinderknecht (Technische Universität Darmstadt) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.h.c. Albert Albers (Karlsruhe Institute of Tech-nology). The students selected may participate free of charge at the 15th International CTI Symposium that will serve as a platform for presenting their work. The organiser puts for-ward a prize of €2.000.
The winners of the 7th CTI Young Drive Awards 2015
In 2015 Björn Berweiler (Researcher at the Institute for Drive Systems and Power Electronics, Leibniz Universität Hannover) , Dr.-Ing. John Geiger (development engineer in the dual clutch transmission, BMW Group) and Dr. Kathrien Indians (Scientific Managing Director at the Lower Saxony Research Centre for Vehicle Technology, TU Braunschweig) shared the 1st place. Around 1,350 participants from 28 countries, 120 exhibitors and over 110 renowned national and international speakers gathered at the 14th International CTI Symposium in 2015.
