Call for papers 2009

We invite you to take an active part in the program:
Present your developments and investigations in a technical paper!
Be part of the international exchange of ideas and experiences.

Discuss the future of transmissions and their contribution to more efficient, comfortable and cost effective vehicles.

In May 2008, the 2nd CTI Transmission Symposium North America took place in Detroit. With more than 280 participants it showed an 30% increase compared to the first symposium in 2007. This increase illustrates

  • the need for a specialised and international transmission forum in North America
  • the quality of the presentations and the “transmission picture” the participants get
  • that the symposium is a terrific networking forum with expert colleagues and global industry leaders

We invite all experts in the field of transmission or component development to present their latest developments, experiences and studies at this CTI symposium. The CTI Symposium + Exhibition “Automotive Transmissions North America” is a high level industry meeting for the automotive and supplier industry. Taking part means to benefit from networking with European, Asian and American colleagues. Every engineer and technology specialist who participates in the design of future automotive transmissions should take the opportunity to contribute a technical paper to this specialist forum.

This expert forum focuses on all transmission concepts for passenger cars and light duty vehicles. Developments and experiences will be discussed in view of technology improvements, market potential and costs.

The symposium focuses especially on:

  • automatic transmissions
    - 6, 7 and 8-speed or more
    - CVTs and IVTs
  • automated transmissions including DCTs
  • transmissions for hybrid drives
  • transmission electronics
  • electronically connected powertrains
  • the most important transmission components
  • transmission development tools
  • manufacturing technologies

Of course, we are open to papers and proposals on topics beyond the subjects listed above as long as they are related to the development, manufacture and use of automotive transmissions.

  • free participation in the symposium (incl. food & beverage)
  • your personal sample of proceedings
  • free entrance to the exhibition area
  • exchange of experiences on a high technical level
  • meeting with peers of the automotive and transmission industry (no time wastage)
