The first two years showed that the CTI Automotive Transmission Symposium North America is also the place where industry experts meet. Here the transmission community receives qualified insights into latest developments and strategies.

In its third year, it will again be “the place to be”. To accommodate the growing number of participants and exhibitors, the Symposium North America 2009 will be held at a new venue:
the MGM Grand Detroit.

We invite all experts in any of the manifold areas of transmission and component development to present latest development projects and series applications in this new CTI symposium. Benefit from networking with your Asian, European and American colleagues. Take an active part in the discussion about the future of automotive transmissions by contributing a paper for this specialist forum.

This expert forum will focus on the different transmission concepts from the point of view of market success and technology development. The symposium will especially look at automatic transmissions (6, 7 and 8-speed, CVTs and IVTs) and automated transmissions, including DCTs and transmissions for hybrid drives. Additionally, transmission electronics, the trend towards electronically connected powertrains and the different transmission components are subjects which will also be dealt with.

The following topics are also of special interest: new production plants, manufacturing technologies and quality control. Of course, we are open to papers and proposals on topics beyond the subjects listed below as long as they are related to the development, manufacture and use of automotive transmissions.
